Taiwanese food

Taiwanese food has always looks good & doesn't look really different with chinese food for me.. But I haven't try any of them untill I found Little Taiwan at Emporium Pluit Mall.. The restaurant looks very active yet comfortable.. My mom was curious about the food too so we decided to have dinner here :)

We ordered many kinds of famous Taiwanese food and snacks here..

After having a great taiwanese style dinner, we walk around the mall and start searching for a drink.. Then we saw Come Buy's long queue and interested to join it.. hahaha 

Ikkudo Ichi - PIK

My first younger bro has been craving for noodle for so long.. He love all kinds of noodle and one of them is Ramen.. There's many ramen stall opened in Jakarta lately and my bro's friend suggest him to go to Ikkudo Ichi, when many people recommend me to try Ikkousha.. Because that night my bro's driving so me and my youngest bro just follow him wherever he want.. hahaha

Something weird dettected when I was about exploring the dessert menu.. As seen as these pictures, they have Wasabi flavoured gelato.. I couldn't imagine how does it taste.. :3

So, my youngest bro ordered chicken ramen.. He always ordered chicken menu everywhere and I still wondering why.. :B

And.... This is mine! :) It's not ramen I think, they use big thick noodle for this menu and served seperately with the soup.. I really like the taste of the soup, i could taste the spices though it's too salty for me..

Another thing I like here is they served the menu with generous amount of garlic.. They even prepared a bowl of fresh garlic with the smasher included, so we could add them whenever we want and as much as we want.. :9

First time I looked at the noodle I think I'll never eat it all, but they placed a small bamboo tray in the bottom of the noodle so it just look full when it's not :p

Lawson Station Part 2

Blogpost kali ini edisi khusus bahasa Indonesia boleh ya? :)

Beberapa hari belakangan ini sering terlintas di pikiran saya untuk mencoba makanan di beberapa tempat, khususnya di sekitar Depok, dimana kampus saya berada. Di suatu siang menjelang sore, tiba-tiba rasa lapar menghantui, karena memang belum makan siang sama sekali. Setelah berputar-putar sedikit di jalan Margonda, saya menemukan gerai Lawson Station dan memutuskan untuk masuk ke sana.

Menu yang ingin saya coba saat itu adalah Oden, karena menurut rekomendasi beberapa teman rasanya unik dan rendah kalori. :) Kemudian saya memesan beberapa varian oden yang terlihat cukup menarik yaitu sandwich tofu, edamame ball, dan cheesy star.

Kemudian saya memesan curry don-nya karena saya sangat suka dengan masakan kari jepang dan penasaran seperti apa rasa curry don di Lawson.

Untuk keseluruhan oden, menurut saya cukup enak dan akan terasa menyenangkan jika dimakan ketika sedang hujan, karena kuahnya sangat menghangatkan. Dan dari ketiga varian oden yang saya makan ini, menurut saya cheesy star paling terasa isinya, yang lainnya agak hambar tapi justru sehat.

Curry don sendiri rasanya sebenarnya standar, tapi ada yang terasa aneh dengan wortel dan bumbu kari-nya. Ketika dimakan, wortel-nya terasa terlalu kering dan bumbu karinya terasa agak lengket di lidah. Tapi secara keseluruhan masih acceptable kok.

Curry Don

Merasa kurang puas dengan apa yang saya pesan, sebelum pulang saya kembali melihat-lihat produk yang dijual Lawson dan saya tertarik untuk mencoba dorayaki, mochi dan salah satu udon instan yang dijual di sana. Saya membeli Dorayaki dengan isian kacang merah dan mochi rasa black forest. Ternyata rasanya sangat enak terutama untuk mochi-nya, karena benar-benar terasa seperti kue black forest sesungguhnya (walaupun menurut saya krim-nya terlalu banyak).

Setelah memakan semuanya, beberapa hari kemudian saya memutuskan untuk memasak udon instan ini, dan ternyata rasanya enak karena aroma khas rumput laut dan seafood-nya.

Untuk harga produk yang dijual di sana tergolong menengah, dan untuk makanan menurut saya cukup terjangkau. Sekian postingan kali ini, sampai jumpa di post selanjutnya :)

Japanese Curry, anyone??

You know what? I'm eating this plus cukka wakame all alone.. what a very lonely weekend.. :')

Untill now, I think this is one of the most delicious curry rice I've eaten, besides Hoka Hoka Bento's Beef Curry Rice, which is no longer exist now.. :'(((

I don't know why I don't quite like this curry udon, maybe the ingridients was not fresh enough, so I found it a lil' bit wierd when eaten.. :'(

Chicken Katsu Curry Rice - Mr Curry (Grand Indonesia)

You must be thinking that I really like chicken katsu curry rice from everywhere, since I got so many photos of them. But I tell you that I thought this is a very standard menu for curry, so I tried this menu almost in every restaurant that sells japanese curry menu.. And they taste different in different place! So I think it's a good way to judge wether the curry spices of a place is delicious or not..
