Family Lunch in Paradise (Inn)

Hello there!! January is almost end and I haven't post many things I ate this month.. hahaha..

January always mean so much to me because it's my birthday month!! :D

But yeah after so much things happened in last December, I feel this month isn't as good as before, and that's not the thing I wanna share in this post! :p

Last Friday my dad remind me that we haven't bought a birthday cake for me yet and on Sunday he asked me about what I wanna eat for lunch, then I said I'm not sure but I wanna go to Plaza Indonesia to buy myself a (super late) birthday cake.. hahahaha.. Then we went there and my dad said he wants to eat Chinese cuisine for lunch (as always).. After bought the cake, my dad seems fall for a quite small busy Chinese restaurant named Paradise Inn..

The place is really comfortable for me and they designed it like an authentic Chinese eatery.. I really love the interior decoration, especially the dining table lamp.. :) And another thins I like here is the cutlery set! Though I couldn't understand what's written in every cutlery, but I really like the design..

 Overall the food has a really good taste, especially the sauteed fish though it's not their signature dish.. The stewed pork belly in lotus bun has a great taste too! I have to admit that the food is a little bit expensive but it's worth! They used high quality ingredients and so as the result, the taste is really great too.. :)

Yep! The next photo is my birthday cake.. Actually my birthday is on January 8th, but because my family member are so busy with their own business, we almost forgot to celebrate it untill my dad push me to.. :p Actually this is my first time to try this cake.. I've known this from one of Indonesian famous culinary journal website - food.detik.com .. The one we bought is All Chocolate (half kg).. We really enjoy it and what made us feel satisfied was the major ingridient they use, dark chocolate exactly! It's not too sweet for us yet the taste of chocolate was really melted in our mouth.. :9

Something Western

Because of so many things happened, I became super lazy to do my final project, so I choose to blog.. haha

About a week ago I got really bored and I decided to read David Lebovitz's website. Actually I don't really know who is he but I like his posts so much! He posted so many kinds of French food either it is the recipe or review about French restaurant. They all looked really delicous, altough they are not familiar for me. After that I thought I really want to have any kind of western food. One of the greatest western restaurant around my campus is The Harvest, so I decided to go there with Joshua the day after.

Actually The Harvest was well-known for the cake product, but for Depok branch they sell many kinds of dine-in menu.

For beverages, we ordered Ice Lemon Tea. There was so many things to drink that looked really nice, but I need something cold and fresh, since it was really hot that day. And I think Joshua felt the same. haha

For the appetizer, I got Nicoise Salad. The dressing look really thick and creamy, but it was not overwhelming at all. :)

For the side dishes, I ordered sautee mushrooms and mashed potato. I didn't know why I really want to eat mushrooms at that time. haha.

Joshua ordered Penne Pasta w/ seafood and at the end he decided to order The Harvest's Strawberry Cheesecake which been the most favorite cheesecake for him. :p

Before we go, I came inside the cake shop and look around the display cabinet. Then I found some interesting macarons and I bought 3 of them; banana, blueberry, and pistachio flavor. :)

I was really happy that day for having great lunch after reading a great website about food. It felt like I really hungry for many days but then I could eat something super! :)))))

Finally, I found a jarcake at home! haha..
It's not me who bought that, it's my bro.. I feel a bit wierd about that, how come my bro bought it as he isn't a fan of cake.. :P
Then I asked him what made him bought this cake in all of sudden even if I didn't tell him that I want this cake so much.. and he just replied my question with this answer "I bought it because I'm helping a friend of mine"..
Haha.. He is helping his friend's that got a campus assessment to sell 100 products / person.. Isn't he sweet? :)
